I was a guest on Holly Payne's Page One Podcast to talk about my new book How to Make Paper When the World is Ending! I never dreamed that I would be a guest on the same podcast that has featured an all-star list of some of my favorite authors including Dean Koontz, Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket), Lee Kravetz & Jacqueline Mitchard. Wow! Such an honor. I loved getting to dive into the nitty-gritty elements of craft and story. We discussed the opening paragraphs of four of my short stories from the collection and how these first paragraphs set the stage for the unfolding stories.
